General description :
FELTREX HD is a fine filament polyester felt, it is used during vacuum processing (vacuum lamination, infusion, bonding of cores, compaction of prepregs), it is abundant, woolly and difficult to compress.
These characteristics ensure, when vacuuming, excellent uniform drainage over the entire surface of the room. Perfectly suited for vacuuming small grammage fabrics such as glass, carbon, etc.
Implementation :
Thanks to its deformability, FELTREX HD allows it to match complex shapes.
This drainage veil is placed between the PERFOREX and the tarpaulin.
Like PEELTEX and PERFOREX, FELTREX should protrude all around the laminated, glued or compacted area. It is also used at the end of the pipe in the mold, to prevent the plastic sheeting from blocking the vacuum draft.
When the part is finished, unmold the FELTREX and PERFOREX.
The PEELTEX will only be removed at the time of finishing, or gluing.
