Resin research Additive F

Additive F represents a major advancement in the manufacture of epoxy surfboards. Its numerous advantages are simply incredible.

During lamination, it facilitates fabric impregnation, thus eliminating most air bubbles (especially around fins and cells), reduces the amount of resin required, and, most importantly, eliminates haze, which is responsible for the banana peel effect.

During the application of successive layers, it eliminates haze, fish eyes, and other surface imperfections, while increasing Barcol hardness. This increased Barcol hardness facilitates sanding the board and improves adhesion and strength between layers. Furthermore, unlike the wax used in polyester resins, it does not interfere with the application of new layers. Thus, no sanding is necessary between layers.
